MAX SF | A social community for gay men and their friends.
MAX is a social group for gay men to meet other men in the Bay Area.
Initially established in , the organization's charter was to "provide a fun, open, diverse and welcoming people for gay men via social and philanthropic events. Through active participation in MAX, members hug fellowship, leadership, personal growth and people involvement, fostering a positive gay image for all."
MAX grew to almost members by , and the group organized hundreds of activities in its initial year run. SF Non-Scene Gay & Somethings
UPDATE: I’ll be back in SF starting in January and would enjoy to start events up then.
This is an all-inclusive team, welcoming people of *all* sexual orientations (including allies), gender identities, ethnicities, body types. We hold one rule: do not be an asshole.
The "Non-Scene" young elder groups have been popular for a while, particularly in Boston, Providence, New York City, and Vancouver. They have been providing the LGBT community experiences and opportunities to interact with other people with their age that doesn't involve the night owl/clubbing life. This group was created to help address this demand in SF.
So the purpose is: meet people who are people, in settings where you can actually meet people (as opposed to -- and no offense to local bars, -- which do a great job at what they do) and possess fun. Maybe just find brand-new friends, maybe network, maybe discover the man or woman of your dreams (though there are better venues for that).
Join us if you like to discuss, like to drink and feast out, go on adventures, be out of breath running up a
